Michael saw the win-win potential in profiling local businesses in the community, so he founded BernalHeights.com, a community resource for residents and Bernal real estate enthusiasts. Because he understands the power of sharing quality information in the digital age, he also formed LevelUpGroupSF.com, a resource for buyers, sellers and investors to find off-market listings and relevant market information. The Level Up Development Group, which he founded with business partner Jennifer Milleson, focuses on improving neighborhoods by developing undesirable properties.
As an active Bernal Heights resident, Michael has served as past president for the Bernal Heights Small Business Alliance and sat on the Board of Directors for the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center. He lives in Bernal with his husband, Phillip Cannon and their two Boston terriers, Cooper and Pepper.
Michael earned his MBA in Operations Management from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and a Management and Marketing BS from UNC Greensboro.
