Since 1991 Mark has been arranging financing for clients across a wide spectrum of real estate investments. He began his career providing residential loans and then expanded his business to include apartment buildings, mixed-use properties, commercial investments, and construction financing. In 1993 Mark founded The Real Estate Roundtable of San Francisco to establish a forum in which top real estate agents could exchange ideas and learn from each other. Now in its 26th year, the group continues to meet monthly.
In 1999 Mark started and is President of Investment Property Capital (IPC), a boutique real estate finance company. In 2012 he started Lodging Finance, a vertically integrated division within IPC, focused on arranging capital for the hospitality industry.
Today Mark leads a team of loan professionals in advising, structuring, and sourcing the most appropriate type of financing to meet their clients’ goals for purchasing and refinancing all types of real estate.
Mark is a licensed real estate Broker, and is a member of (BAMA) Bay Area Mortgage Association (a commercial real estate finance group) and the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) plus several other real estate associations. He graduated from UMass/Amherst in 1985 with a degree in Cultural Anthropology. He speaks Spanish fluently, is an active real estate investor, a Backyard Beekeeper, a vegetable gardener, and is an avid photographer. He enjoys traveling internationally, and his favorite trips include a photo safari in the Serengeti, a road trip in Rajasthan, canoeing through the Arctic, kayaking through Central America, horseback riding in the Andes, backpacking in Alaska, and eating pintxos and tapas in Spain.
